Terms of Service
—
1. Introduction and Scope
Welcome to OSINTNova, an open-source intelligence (OSINT) platform designed to empower researchers, analysts, investigative journalists, and hobbyists who wish to gather publicly accessible information ethically and responsibly.
At its core, OSINTNova seeks to foster a culture of continuous learning, respect, and collaboration, encouraging users to innovate while maintaining a shared commitment to responsible behavior.
The primary scope of OSINTNova revolves around compiling, analyzing, and presenting open-source information derived from publicly available data. By integrating cutting-edge OSINT methodologies with an intuitive user interface, we aim to enable more insightful, faster, and more comprehensive research outcomes.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using OSINTNova in any form—including OSINTNova Platform (the web platform) and the OSINTNova Discord bot—you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using OSINTNova on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
You agree to use OSINTNova only in accordance with these Terms, including our rules on ethical OSINT and data sourcing (Section 4), our stance on closed-source and illegally obtained information (Section 5), and our Code of Conduct (Section 6). Violations may result in suspension or termination of your access, as described in Section 7.
If you subscribe to OSINTNova Pro, you are directly in control of your subscription. Cancellation, payment updates, and any other subscription management must be handled by you through your chosen payment platform (e.g. PayPal, Cash App). We do not manage recurring payments or billing on your behalf.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Your continued use of OSINTNova after we post revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms or any future revision, you must stop using OSINTNova.
3. Service Modifications, Lifetime Definition, and Termination Rights
We reserve the right to modify, change, or end our service at any time, including for Lifetime packages. No guarantee of continued availability is made.
Definition of "Lifetime"
"Lifetime" access means the lifetime of our service availability. It does not apply if the business closes or the service is discontinued. Lifetime is a one-time payment for access for as long as OSINTNova operates—not a guarantee that the service will operate indefinitely.
Termination and Bans
No subscription package—including Lifetime—protects users from being banned for breaking our Terms of Service. We have the right to terminate or suspend users at our discretion for violations, abuse, or any reason we deem necessary. Paid status does not exempt you from enforcement of these terms.
4. Ethical OSINT & Data Sourcing
OSINTNova is built on a foundation of ethical intelligence gathering. We do NOT use leaked databases and are purely OSINT, utilizing no CSINT tactics. Our platform strictly uses public websites, search engines, APIs, and manipulates public endpoints on popular websites to piece together information and source data from the dark web.
All data collected was made public by the user or the service they chose; OSINTNova does not "hack" or leak data from these services. Users looking for data leaks, user credentials, or who have malicious intentions should look elsewhere. What separates OSINTNova from other sites is our commitment to an ethical code that promotes open intelligence and privacy simultaneously. We believe in a right to information but respect individual privacy.
Streamlined OSINT
OSINTNova's commands and features allow for quick lookups, targeted queries, and relevant search functions that cater to those performing investigations within open-source data.
Privacy Conscious
OSINTNova operates on a minimalist philosophy. Our approach is to only require and retain data essential to functionality. See Data Policy & Privacy for details.
5. OSINTNova & CSINT
CSINT (closed-source intelligence) is information that is not publicly available or that was obtained through unauthorized access, data breaches, theft, or other illegal or unethical means. Examples include leaked credentials, private databases, stolen personal data, and any intelligence derived from sources the owner did not intend to make public. OSINTNova does not use, host, or facilitate access to CSINT. We believe access to information is a human right while valuing individual private privacy.
OSINTNova is based in the United States and operates in accordance with U.S. laws and regulations. The Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), 18 U.S.C. § 1030, prohibits unauthorized access to computers and trafficking in passwords or other means of access. Obtaining or using credentials from data breaches can fall under this and related statutes. Under 18 U.S.C. § 1028, knowingly possessing another person's identification without lawful authority and with intent to use it unlawfully is criminalized. In Burdeau v. McDowell, 256 U.S. 465 (1921), the Supreme Court held that evidence obtained through unlawful private conduct can still be admissible in proceedings. The fact that data was first exposed by a breach does not shield the person who later obtains or uses it from investigation or prosecution. Using data from breaches can lead to criminal or civil liability under the CFAA, identity-theft statutes, wire fraud (18 U.S.C. § 1343), and likely several other laws. A user who obtains or uses such information is not exempt from punishment simply because the data was already leaked.
We do not share private or breached data. We do offer ethical services to help you understand whether a breach has affected you, what was exposed, and where you can find official guidance. We also provide lists of commonly abused passwords and general threat intelligence that cannot be tied to specific users, so you get useful security insight without crossing into territory we consider unethical or legally risky. We apply this same philosophy across our tools and deliver actionable intelligence without venturing into closed-source or illegally obtained information (CSINT).
6. Code of Conduct

By engaging with OSINTNova, you implicitly agree to uphold the principles of respectful and ethical use. Users must:

Retention Period
We do not keep user or server logs beyond one year unless required by law. Cached data is retained for no more than 30 days.

13. Security Research & Penetration Testing
OSINTNova allows good-faith security research and penetration testing against our own websites and services (e.g. osintnova.com and related domains) under the conditions below. This permission does not extend to third-party services, our users, or any system you are not explicitly authorized to test.
Authorized Testing
You may conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on OSINTNova infrastructure only for the purpose of finding and responsibly disclosing security issues. Testing must be limited to systems we operate and must not access, modify, or exfiltrate data beyond what is necessary to demonstrate a vulnerability.
Required Conduct
If you discover a valid security issue, you must stop testing immediately and report it to us before taking any further action or disclosing it elsewhere. Do not exploit the finding beyond a minimal proof-of-concept. We expect coordinated disclosure and will work with you in good faith to resolve issues.
How to Report
Report security vulnerabilities to [email protected] or via our Discord community (discord.osintnova.com). For our full security policy, contact details, and preferred languages, see our machine-readable security policy at /security.txt.
Recognition
We appreciate the security community’s help. Where we can, we recognize researchers with free OSINTNova subscriptions and public acknowledgment. We are a small team and handle reports as quickly as our capacity allows.
